Duncan McNaughton is Ottawa Fire Services first Fire Protection Engineer and has held the position since its inception in January of 2007.  His role and function in the position is very dynamic and in demand.  He is in the process of developing many new concepts, policies, procedures and other administrative tools required of a fire protection program.  Duncan is also a member of the Fire Sprinkler Alliance for Everyone (Fire SAFE Ontario); a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating, promoting and advancing the installation and use of residential fire sprinkler systems in Ontario. 

He is a Royal Military College graduate and holds the position of Structural Specialist  with the Ottawa Urban Search and Rescue Team.
