Peter McBride is an Incident Safety Officer with the Ottawa Fire Services. He has extensive operational knowledge of the Incident Safety Officer position and is a co-developer of the Incident Safety Officer and Building Construction courses used by the Province of Ontario for its Company Officer Program.

McBride recently sat on the Project Technical Panel evaluating tactics for Wind Driven Fires and on the NFPA 1521 Task Group. He has also contributed to NFPA 1500 and 1584. Peter is a researcher and patent holder whose passion for sharing ideas and seeking insights from others has been responsible for initiating many innovative partnerships. Peter is the FIRE 2010 Symposium Chair.
