OPFFA Benevolent Fund
The tradition of Fire Fighters raising money for charity is not new to the Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters Association. The OPFFA has been associated with many functions and has helped raise millions of dollars, over the history of the Association. The OPFFA helped raise over two million dollars, with the annual Magic Show. The funds from this event helped purchase the Hyper Baric Chamber at the General Hospital, The Aladdin Ventilator at CHEO, and the CyberKnife at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital.
Our firefighters raise funds to donate to such groups as Muscular Dystrophy, The Ottawa Heart Institute, Queensway Carleton Hospital, and Easter Seals have all partnered for this fun money-raiser.
The OPFFA has also partnered with other fund-raising groups to help with everything from selling tickets at gala dinners to playing ball hockey. Our volunteering has allowed us to help raise some much-needed funds, for several deserving Charities.
